We have all experienced disappointments, changes and delays over the last 2 years with lockdowns and event cancellations due to the pandemic, but we are encouraged by the number of wedding enquiries we have received since Christmas. Some wonderful news and announcements which families received over this time of being together.
This was a time when some of us could finally be with our family and announce the good news to them. We all know how the pandemic has really spoilt the plans for thousands of weddings in the last 2 years.
Although we are still living with Covid fortunately it seems that lockdowns are a thing of the past. Hence, now is the time to start to think about planning that very special occasion
We absolutely love working on weddings as they are exciting, romantic and give us a sense of togetherness and something to look forward to. They allow us to really bring out our creativity for couples to create an event that is unique and memorable.
We can help plan and style weddings along with having a range of beautiful marquees, furniture and equipment for hire.
One of our truly recent memorable weddings was Sandra & Daniel at the Fitters’ Workshop.
Sandra and Daniel got married at St Gregory’s Church in Queanbeyan and then had their reception at the stunning Fitters’ Workshop in Kingston. They were looking for a space that was a ‘blank canvas’ allowing them to create a signature look for their wedding, focusing on a rustic industrial chic look.
Fitters’ Workshop is a large warehouse-style venue with high span ceilings, fabulous old windows and timber loading dock doors.
“We chose to illuminate the space using our custom-made sky room timber structures which were rigged with over 1000 metres of fairy lights. This created mood lighting over the dining area and a sense of intimacy over the reception space, especially noting the height of the ceilings.” Jillian Hart, Director – Show Pony Events.

Their tables featured orchids on white linen cloths and paired with walnut timber bentwood chairs. It is important to note with spaces like Fitters’ Workshop, that they are truly a blank canvas with no support facilities. As such you need to bring in all suppliers including caterers and equipment, furniture, lighting, toilets staging and so on.
This is a perfect venue for couples who are looking to create a truly unique and bespoke wedding with a greater say in the styling of the space as well as food and wine selection.
