Show Pony Events has been the event styling company for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) fundraising events for the past five years and are proud to be a Platinum sponsor.
This year’s event was spectacular and used the Wizard of Oz “There’s no place like home” concept to style the gala event.
The Show Pony Events team had so much fun creating the journey through the Land of Oz starting with the entry through Dorothy’s House in Kansas. The fabulous fabricating team at Show Pony were able to build the front facade of the house to emulate it in the middle of a tornado. Guests walked through the front doors of the house and into Dorothy’s room then out the other side into the Land of Oz.
Guests stepped into another world, walking the Yellow Brick Road and through the forest of talking trees. This year’s styling brief was to encapsulate Dorothy’s Journey and as such the table decor was divided into three parts of her journey.
The first was Dorothy’s encounter with the wicked witch of the west and the gift of the red ruby slippers by the good witch of the north.
The second was the meeting of scarecrow with tables set in sandstone cloths with rattan placemats and wheat centrepieces. The Tin Man in silver sequin with silver glitter teas and tin vases and mirror charger plates finally lion in gold glitter cloths and mirror gold charger plates couple with custom made lion vases and dried pampas and fan displays to emulate the lions mane.
The Sponsors and VIP tables represented the emerald city with the tables covered in emerald green sequin tablecloths and gold towers as centrepieces.
The hero in the room was the suspended tiered chandelier over the dancefloor which changed colours throughout the evening.
The night was a spectacular success raising much need funds for such a worthwhile cause. Show Pony Events is excited to be involved each year and look forward to collaborating with the RMHC committee on next years event.
